Cristiano Ronaldo is set to extend his stay with Al-Nassr, solidifying his position as the highest-paid footballer in the world. Reports indicate that he has agreed to a contract renewal that will keep him at the Saudi club until June 2026.

This extension comes as Ronaldo approaches his 40th birthday, showcasing his continued impact on the field and in the financial landscape of football.

Contract Details and Salary

Ronaldo’s new deal is said to be worth approximately €200 million per year, which includes his salary and image rights.

Specifically, he will earn around €183 million for the 2025/26 season, slightly lower than his previous contract but still a staggering amount. This translates to about €15.25 million per month, €3.8 million per week, and approximately €550,000 per day.

With this contract extension, Ronaldo will maintain his status as the highest-paid player globally, outpacing other football stars like Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi.

Performance at Al-Nassr

Since joining Al-Nassr in January 2023, Ronaldo has made a significant impact on the pitch, scoring 75 goals in 84 appearances.

However, despite his individual success, team titles have been elusive, with Al-Nassr winning only one title—the 2023 Arab Club Championship—during his tenure.

The dominance of local rivals Al-Hilal has made it challenging for Ronaldo to add more silverware to his collection.

Future Aspirations

Ronaldo’s decision to extend his contract also hints at his ambition to prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which could be his last major international tournament.

His ongoing commitment to Al-Nassr suggests he is focused on continuing to perform at a high level while contributing to the growth of football in Saudi Arabia.

Legacy and Impact

Beyond the financial figures, Ronaldo’s presence in the Saudi Pro League has elevated its profile internationally.

His commitment to staying in Saudi Arabia reflects not only his personal ambitions but also a broader strategy to enhance the league’s competitiveness and visibility on the global stage.

As he aims for milestones such as reaching 1,000 career goals, currently standing at 917 goals, Ronaldo continues to defy age-related expectations in professional sports.

His discipline, work ethic, and competitive spirit remain unmatched, further solidifying his legacy as one of football’s all-time greats.
