Date:

Deepak Hooda quits Baroda and joins Rajasthan for the 2021 season domestic season. The startling all-rounder had a fight with Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya during a practice session due to which he was suspended by the state cricket association. Now, he has taken a stern step over by joining Rajasthan for the upcoming domestic edition.

Deepak Hooda plays for Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League. He had a great first half with the bat and managed a quickfire fifty for PBKS. Shedding light on his first-class cricket career, he has done a great job in every respective region. He has amassed 2059 runs in 68 List A games with a high score of 161 runs.

Deepak Hooda Decides His Future Is In Rajasthan

The former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan looked sad and took to his official Twitter handle and opined that Deepak Hooda could have played for around 10 years for Baroda. Also, it is utterly sad that Baroda lost the services of such a gem cricketer.

His post read,” How many cricket associations will lose out on a player who is in the Indian team probables list? Deepak Hooda leaving Baroda cricket is a huge loss. He could have easily given his services for another ten years as he is still young. As a Barodian It’s utterly disappointing!” he tweeted.

Back in 2020, Deepak Hooda alleged Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya for misbehaving during a practice session. He revealed the whole instance that happened in the practice session.

“Today I was practicing in nets and doing my preparation for tomorrow’s game with the permission of Head Coach Mr Prabhkar. Then Krunal came in nets started misbehaving with me. I told him that I’m doing my preparation with the permission of the head coach. He told me that ‘I’m the captain, who is the head coach? I am the overall of the Baroda team. Then he stopped my practice showing his Dadagiri,” Hooda had alleged in a letter to BCA.

Later on, Baroda Cricket Association suspended Deepak Hooda with immediate effect for the whole 2021 domestic season. They took such a decision based on the reports submitted by the team manager and coach of the Baroda Cricket team.

“The apex council decided that Hooda won’t be considered to represent the Baroda team for the current domestic season. The decision was taken after considering reports from team manager and coach about the incident as well as communication with Hooda,” Satyajit Gaekwad, chairman, BCA press and publicity committee was quoted as saying by Times of India.
