Recently, Riot Games said that mid-season 2023 will see significant changes to the way Mythic items work in League of Legends.
The modifications will mostly target ADCs but also cover lethality items and enchanters. The goal is to add variety to the ways that players construct items and navigate the game’s terrain.
Riot Games revealed that the Mythic item adjustments, which are anticipated to roll out in mid-season, will be in two ways.
First, the studio wants to make legendary rarity versions of items like Kraken Slayer, Galeforce, and Immortal Shieldbow.
In the meantime, the Navori Quickblades, Infinity Edge, and Guinsoo’s Rageblade will all be upgraded to Mythic items.
These modifications are being made because Riot Games wants to mix up the somewhat monotonous work that ADCs undertake.
These changes were announced via a developer blog recently. Read ahead to find out more about why these changes are being brought into Mythic Items.
Mid Season 2023 Changes
Riot Games believes it is challenging to balance League of Legends given the state of Mythic items.
This is due to the fact that practically everyone attempts to make the one overpowering Mythic item that exists every time.
Consequently, overhauling the entire Mythic item system will keep the game interesting.
Not only will ADC items change, but also enchanter and lethality items will also be updated. Youmuu’s Ghostblade will be elevated to a Mythic item by Riot Games, while Prowler’s Claw will be downgraded to a Legendary.
It’s crucial to keep in mind that Riot Games will be experimenting with all of these adjustments. League of Legends is an extremely complicated game, and predicting what will succeed and fail is virtually difficult.
After MSI 2023, these changes will gradually begin to take effect. If they are successful, more adjustments will be made in the 2024 preseason.
