“Na Bhai Na” Yuvraj Singh reacts after Rahul Tewatia missed out on breaking his World Record

Date:

Rahul Tewatia, the Haryana-born all-rounder had a memorable game against KXIP. It turned out to be a night that the young player will remember throughout his life. He scored 53 runs off 31 balls studded with seven monstrous sixes. Meanwhile, he was quite close to breaking Yuvraj Singh record in the 18th over. But, he missed out by only one six. Now, the former all-rounder has come out with a hilarious reaction praising his quickfire knock against Kings XI Punjab.

The 38-year old player bid adieu to international cricket back in 2019. But, he holds several accolades to his name that stands till date. In the 2007 T20 World Cup, he smacked six sixes in an over of Stuart Broad. Since then many players came, played, and retired. But, none of them could manage to achieve that feat in the shorter format.

However, on Sunday night his record might have been broken by Rahul Tewatia in the 18th over of the inning. The 27-year-old was clueless in the first half of his inning. He struggled a lot to middle the ball with his willow. He marked a strong and dramatic comeback in the game. Tewatia, who was struggling in the first 19 balls or so, scored five sixes in an over bowled by Sheldon Cottrell. He came quite close to hitting six in a row. But, missed out from scoring one the penultimate ball of the over. Nevertheless, his knock was enough to win the game for RR.
