The much-awaited news of 2022 finally became reality when legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo signed a contract with Saudi Arabia club Al-Nassr. The speculations were rife as several reports suggested that Ronaldo will be next signing a deal with Al-Nassr.
The Portuguese star left Manchester United on mutual terms during the early December period after an explosive interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan. Cristiano Ronaldo signed a deal with Al-Nassr on Friday, in a deal which is reportedly over 200 million euros per year.
“I can’t wait to discover a new football league in a different country. The vision with which Al Nassr operates is very inspiring, and I am delighted to join my teammates, so that together we can help the team achieve greater success,” said the 37-year-old talismanic striker.
Al-Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo took to social media to announce this signing.
“This is more than history in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves. Welcome @cristiano to your new home @alnassr_fc,” tweeted Al-Nassr.
