WPL Auction 2023: Harmanpreet Kaur Gets Sold To Mumbai Franchise

Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur has been bought by the Mumbai franchise for an amount of Rs. 1.80 crores. The stylish batter and astute captain will be representing the Mumbai franchise in the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023.

With a base price of Rs. 50 lakhs, Mumbai finally won the bid at Rs. 1.80 crores. She was a marquee player in the auction and her name came 2nd in the day.

Presently, Kaur is leading the Indian women’s team in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 in South Africa. The blue tigresses defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets yesterday. Jemimah Rodrigues was awarded with the player of the match award for her match-winning knock of 53* in 38 deliveries.

Harmanpreet Kaur has so far played 147 T20Is for India and has mustered 2956 runs. She is very experienced in the T20 format.
