In what is going to be a life-changing moment for Indian left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh, the youngster is all set to make his County debut. The 24-year-old left-arm seamer will be making his County Championship Division One debut for Kent on 11th June 2023.
The first match of the Indian pacer will be against Surrey at the Saint Lawrence Ground in Canterbury. Arshdeep Singh will be hoping to make an instant impression as he will be making his debut in the English domestic league.
After announcing his availability for the club in March 2023, Arshdeep Singh will be playing 5 matches for Kent in the County Championship Division One. Kent were quite keen to have the services of Arshdeep Singh, who had a stellar ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
In the absence of star Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh has evolved into quite a mature bowler and has been leading the bowling pack of India in the shorter formats of the game.
Another interesting thing to ponder about is the fact that Arshdeep Singh can well be groomed for Test match cricket if he has a good stint with Kent. It is high-time India have a left-arm seamer in their bowling ranks in the longest format of the game.
