The Big Bash League 2023-24 is all set to kick-start from 7th December 2023 and the first game will be played between Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Stars. Adelaide Strikers are all set to play Match 3 and would be pitted against Brisbane Heat in this BBL 2023-24 opener.
Adelaide Strikers has managed to win only 1 BBL title so far and has won it in 2017-18, after beating Hobart Hurricanes by 25 runs in the finals. They would be keen on winning their 2nd title this time after some consistent performances.
They had a forgettable outing in the previous edition of this competition and had finished in the 7th position in the points table. Head Coach Jason Gillespie would be hoping that his team plays a good brand of cricket in this tournament and win it for the 2nd time.
Adelaide Strikers suffered a big blow ahead of the season as their star spinner Rashid Khan will be missing BBL 2023-24 because of a back injury. He has been replaced by English speedster, David Payne.
Cameron Boyce would have to play a key role in the spin-bowling department of Adelaide Strikers in this competition, which kick-starts from 7th December 2023.
