    BBL 2024-25 Draft Pick

The Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 draft took place in Melbourne on September 1, marking a significant event for all eight franchises as they sought to enhance their squads for the upcoming season.

The draft allowed teams to make strategic additions, with the BBL 14 season set to run from December 1, 2024, to January 27, 2025.

The eight participating teams—Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers, and Sydney Thunder—were allowed to select players across four rounds, with a focus on both new signings and retaining existing talent.

The BBL draft saw a strong presence of international talent, particularly from England, with several players securing lucrative contracts.

The draft saw several notable inclusions, such as Ben Duckett being selected as the first pick by the Melbourne Stars, while Laurie Evans joined the Melbourne Renegades.

Shai Hope and Rishad Hossain, the first Bangladeshi player to be drafted, were picked up by the Hobart Hurricanes.

The presence of pre-signed players, including Colin Munro, Finn Allen, and Sam Billings, added to the star power of the league. The BBL draft also saw the return of several familiar faces, with James Vince retaining his spot with the Sydney Sixers.
