    Ben Duckett Declared Fit

England explosive opener Ben Duckett has been declared fit to participate in the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

This announcement comes as a timely boost for the team, which is gearing up for the tournament set to commence on February 19, 2025, in Pakistan and Dubai.

    Ben Duckett Injury Update

Duckett had sustained a left groin injury while fielding during England’s third ODI against India in Ahmedabad last Wednesday.

Following the incident, he underwent scans that confirmed the injury was not serious.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) released a statement confirming that Duckett is fit and available for selection, stating, “Scans on a left groin injury have confirmed that England men’s batter Ben Duckett is fit and available for the ICC Champions Trophy.”

    England’s Recent Performance

The news of Duckett’s fitness comes at a crucial time for the England team, which recently faced a challenging tour of India.

They suffered a disappointing 0-3 whitewash in the ODI series after losing 4-1 in the preceding T20I series. These results have raised concerns about the team’s form heading into the Champions Trophy.

    Tournament Schedule

England is drawn in Group B alongside formidable opponents: world champions Australia, South Africa, and Afghanistan.

Their campaign will kick off against Australia on February 22 in Lahore. The squad is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on February 18, just days before their opening match.

    Squad Dynamics

Duckett’s inclusion is vital for England as they seek to bounce back from their recent losses. His performance at the top of the order will be crucial in setting a solid foundation for the team’s innings.

However, England has faced other injury concerns, with Jacob Bethell already sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

The team will be looking to maximize its resources as they prepare for what promises to be a competitive tournament.
