    Chetan Sharma Fired

The chief selector for India, Chetan Sharma, is currently in hot water after his media sting operation went viral. Little did Chetan Sharma know that he was the focus of a sting operation despite speaking extensively on every hot topic in Indian cricket, from the Virat Kohli-Sourav Ganguly controversy to the Rohit Sharma-Virat Kohli feud.

The way that problems have arisen within the Indian cricket team is now confounding the Indian cricket fraternity. As a result of the explosive sting operation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is reportedly unhappy with Sharma and aims to dismiss him as the national top selector.

BCCI is having an internal investigation

After being recorded on camera by a TV sting disclosing the dirty little secrets of the Indian Cricket Team, Chetan Sharma will be the subject of an internal investigation by the BCCI.

The richest cricket board in the world is shocked by the seriousness of the charges made when Australia is on a tour of India. Sharma alleged that Indian cricket players use drugs to stay in shape that won’t show up on drug tests.

“It’s really embarrassing. not just for BCCI but for the entire cricket fraternity in India. We have Australia visiting now and this will have ripple effects. The board will not just have to pacify cricketers but also deal with their backlashes.

There will be an internal investigation into this. But of course, his days are now numbered as players won’t trust him anymore,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.

Will Chetan Sharma be fired again?

It should be mentioned that the BCCI removed Chetan and the whole selection committee after a dismal T20 World Cup campaign.

However, after a month, BCCI reappointed the former World Champion as the chairman of selectors. Now that cricketers are unhappy, it is likely that he will be fired once more.

“His days are obviously numbered. It will be very difficult for the players to trust him after his words came public. But it will be decided only after the internal investigation. But there is a possibility that he quits himself. We will know after meeting with him,” the BCCI official said.

Chetan Sharma likely to be fired

Chetan Sharma’s comments about what happens behind the scenes in the Indian cricketing circuit have upset BCCI, according to sources cited by Cricketaddictor.

“The BCCI, including board President Roger Binny and Secretary, Jay Shah, are extremely unhappy and sad with the sting operation and an official action against Sharma is writing on the walls,” the BCCI source stated.

“BCCI was extremely jubilant with how the Women’s IPL Auction went ahead just a day ago ahead of the Sting operation and with now everything coming up in front, Sharma’s future holds nothing but dark clouds,” the source further added.
