The Duleep Trophy 2023 is all set to mark the start of the domestic cricket season in India and feature some of the nation’s top young players representing different zones.
The Duleep Trophy 2023 kicks off with a quarterfinal bracket, where the finalists of the previous season, West Zone and South Zone, earn direct semifinal berths. Meanwhile, Central Zone, North Zone, North East Zone, and East Zone will clash in thrilling quarterfinal matches.
One of the quarterfinals will feature Central Zone against East Zone, with the winner earning the right to face West Zone in semifinal 1. On the other hand, NorthEast Zone and North Zone will battle it out for the chance to secure a semifinal spot against South Zone.
The quarterfinals and semifinals will be intense four-day contests, while the Duleep Trophy 2023 final will be a thriller five-day match. All matches will take place in Bengaluru, with the Duleep Trophy 2023 final scheduled to be held at the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
In the previous edition, Yashasvi Jaiswal emerged as the leading run-scorer with a remarkable tally of 497 runs. R Sai Kishore dominated the bowling charts, claiming 17 wickets.
