The 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season must be kept in the eyes of cricket fans’ minds as they look at the calendar. IPL 2022 was a lavish event with the addition of Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants.

Since its start in 2008, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been one of the most well-known and fiercely competitive competitions in Indian cricket.

Some of the top teams and players have competed in the competition for the title of champion. Top teams have won the IPL title over the years 2008 to 2022.

Mumbai Indians, who have won the title a record-setting five times, are the IPL’s most successful team. With four trophies, Chennai Super Kings are now in second place.

The only other IPL champion is the two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders. Only Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore haven’t won the championship despite participating in every IPL season.

IPL 2022 Winner: Gujarat Titans 

The Gujarat Titans, who were led by all-arounder Hardik Pandya, won the IPL 2022 championship. The Titans topped the competition with a solid showing throughout the tournament, exhibiting their skill and tenacity on the field.

The Gujarat Titans’ winning strategy was ultimately determined to be Pandya’s leadership and the unified effort of his team.

IPL 2021 Winner: Chennai Super Kings

IPL 2021 champion Chennai Super Kings won the competition. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) competed in the IPL 2021 Final, which CSK won.

The final game took place in Dubai, where CSK (192/3) defeated KKR (165/9) by a margin of 27 runs. 

Chennai Super Kings win their fourth IPL championship with the victory in IPL 2021. The Chennai Super Kings continued to solidify their position as one of the IPL’s most successful teams, therefore this was a crucial occasion for them.

IPL 2020 Winner: Mumbai Indians

This is the fifth time overall and the second time in a row that Mumbai Indians have won the IPL championship.

Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians competed in the final game of IPL 2020. This game was won by MI by 5 wickets.

IPL Winner 2019: Mumbai Indians

The IPL 2019 final featured a clash of titans. In the final match, Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings met again. The last bowl decided the match.

Malinga’s off-cutter was not able to be defended by Shardul Thakur, who was hoping for at least one run for the super over. Mumbai Indians won the title for a record-tying fourth time as a result. As a result, Mumbai Indians won four IPL 2019 final.

IPL Winner 2018: Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings became the second team in IPL history to win more than two trophies. The batting unit was led by veterans Ambati Rayadu and Shane Watson.

Dhoni, as expected, gave the best finishes in the majority of the games. CSK’s bowling team was fortunate to have input from both the skipper, MS Dhoni, and Bravo.
