Post the South Africa vs India series, India’s premier batters, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have made massive strides in the rankings. Notably, the duo was playing for the first time since the completion of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.
Virat was previously slotted at number 9 in the ICC Rankings and now he has climbed to the 6th position. The former Indian legendary captain had scored 172 runs in 4 innings and was the top scorer of the Indian cricket.
He had an average of 43.00 and smashed 25 fours and 2 sixes. Virat was on song during the series and batted with elegance and class.
On the other hand, Rohit Sharma scored 61 runs in 4 innings and jumped to the 10th spot in the ICC Rankings.
Kane Williamson of New Zealand is sitting at the top position of this ranking table and is followed by Joe Root and Steve Smith of England and Australia.
