The 3rd edition of the International League T20 (ILT20) finished with a bang as Dubai Capitals (DC) defeated Desert Vipers (DV) in the finals of ILT20 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on 9th February 2025.
The same set of teams had met in Qualifier 1 after Desert Vipers finished at the top of the points table with 7 wins and 3 losses under their belt. Dubai Capitals had defeated the Vipers by 5 wickets in Qualifier 1 and now completed the double in the playoffs by outclassing them in the finals.
Dubai Capitals finally had redemption time in the finals as they were able to cross the final frontier in this edition of the tournament. Notably, Dubai Capitals had finished as runners-up in ILT20 2024 after they lost to MI Emirates by 45 runs in the finals in ILT20 2024.
The ILT20 2025 was an exhibition of class, entertainment and good cricketing action. Some of the top stalwarts of the game and T20 cricket had plied their trade for the different franchises.
Sam Curran of Dubai Capitals bagged the player of the tournament award for mustering 387 runs and bagging 7 wickets. He received the Red Belt and was adjudged the most valuable player of the season.
