In spite of all expectations, Indian pacers are destroying the competition as the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is currently in play. The two leading Indian pacers, Mohammed Shami and Siraj, excelled against the formidable Australian team before the spinners began to control.
Usman Khawaja (1) and David Warner (1) were returned in the first three overs thanks to early wickets from Mohd Siraj and Mohd Shami of India. At Nagpur, Australian captain Pat Cummins chose to bat first after winning the toss.
