IND vs AUS T20I Series: VVS Laxman Likely As Head Coach For India After World Cup 2023

Date:

Former cricketer VVS Laxman is reportedly in line to take on the role of Head Coach for the Indian cricket team during the Australian T20I series after the end of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2023.

The current Head Coach, Rahul Dravid, will see his contract come to an end with the conclusion of the World Cup 2023.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is anticipated to reinvite applications for the coaching position, providing Dravid with the option to reapply if he wishes to continue as the head coach of the national team.

However, it remains to be seen whether Dravid will opt for a return to the T20I or not.

VVS Laxman, who currently serves as the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA), could play a key role in coaching the Indian team for the five-match T20I series against Australia.

This IND vs AUS T20I series is slated to commence shortly after the World Cup, with the first match scheduled for November 23 in Visakhapatnam.

The decision regarding the coaching leadership for the Australian T20 series will be of significant interest to cricket fans, as it marks a potential shift in the coaching hierarchy of the Indian cricket team.
