IND vs AUS Test Series: Usman Khawaja Missed The Team’s Flight To India Due To A Visa Delay

Date:

India is to host the first of four tests during India vs Australia test series in Nagpur from February 9. Usman Khawaja, the team’s opening batsman, missed the Australia team’s flight to India on Wednesday owing to a visa holdup, according to Cricket Australia (CA).

The batsman, who was born in Pakistan, was the only member of Australia’s team who did not board because his visa did not arrive in time, according to a CA spokesman.

After a productive year in which he amassed 1020 runs at an average of 78.46 during which he won the Shane Warne award as Australia’s men’s test player of the year on Monday, Khawaja, 36, was recognized for his achievements.
