Test cricket is scheduled to return after a series of ODIs and T20 matches with the renowned Border-Gavaskar trophy being Indian Cricket’s next significant stop.
The series, which is played between Australia and India, has a long history. Starting on February 9, 2023, the series’ four test matches will start and end in a single month.
Australia, the top-ranked Test team in the world, will play host nation India in a four-match Test series in an effort to snap an almost two-decade series winless streak.
The Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur will host the opening test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy’s 2023 season on Thursday, February 9.
As both India and Australia are in good form and there is a lot at stake, the forthcoming four-match series is predicted to be tightly contested.
After that, the action will go to Delhi, where the teams will be hosted at the Arun Jaitley Stadium from February 17 to February 21. From March 1 to March 5, the third test will be held at the HPCA stadium in Dharamshala.
And for the final match, the sides will travel to Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, where the game will be played from March 9 to March 13.
The result of the series will determine whether India plays in the World Test Championship final for a second consecutive season in addition to India’s No. 1 Test cricket rating.
When India and Australia engage in thrilling cricket, the world watches. Therefore, the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023 is eagerly anticipated, just like every other edition.
India has won the competition in each of the previous three instances, and this time, under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, they will attempt to retain the crown. Pat Cummins, on the other hand, will be in charge of Australia.
