The highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025, set to take place in Dubai, has ignited a massive craze among cricket fans.
With emotions running high and national pride at stake, securing a seat at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium has become a prize.
This intense demand has led to an extraordinary surge in ticket prices, with reports indicating that some tickets are being resold for as high as ₹4 lakh, reflecting the unparalleled excitement and rivalry surrounding this iconic cricket match.
High Demand and Rapid Sell-Outs
The initial batch of tickets for the February 23 match sold out within minutes of going on sale on February 3.
Responding to the high demand, the International Cricket Council (ICC) released an additional batch of tickets on February 16, which also sold out within hours.
Sales began at 1:30 PM IST, and by 3:00 PM, all additional tickets were gone.
Over 140,000 fans queued online to purchase tickets. Some fans waited for nearly an hour, only to find tickets sold out across almost all categories.
Champions Trophy IND vs PAK Ticket Prices
The official ticket prices for the India vs Pakistan match started at a minimum of 500 AED (approximately ₹11,863), with the higher-end tickets reaching up to 12,500 AED (approximately ₹2,96,595).
For India’s other matches in the Champions Trophy, ticket prices commenced from a more accessible 125 dirhams (approximately ₹2,900). However, the resale market paints a drastically different picture.
Due to the overwhelming demand and limited availability, tickets for the India-Pakistan encounter have been listed at exorbitant prices, reaching as high as $175,400 (₹1.46 crore) in some instances, though the ₹4 lakh figure is more commonly reported.
Venue Details and Ticket Availability
The high-stakes India vs Pakistan match is scheduled to be held at the iconic Dubai International Cricket Stadium on February 23.
This stadium boasts a seating capacity of 25,000 spectators, which, given the global fanbase of both teams, proves to be insufficient to accommodate all interested viewers.
While tickets for India vs Pakistan match have become exceedingly difficult to obtain, some tickets for other matches, including India vs New Zealand and the first semi-final, were still available as of February 16.
The sale of tickets for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final will commence after the conclusion of the first semi-final on March 4.
It’s worth noting that the final will be held in Dubai if India qualifies; otherwise, it will be shifted to Lahore.
