Cricket Ireland has officially announced the schedule for India’s upcoming tour of Ireland, providing details of the highly anticipated T20 series between the two teams. The tour is set to feature a thrilling three-match T20 series, with Ireland Cricket sharing the confirmed schedule.
The exciting clash between India and Ireland will kick off on August 18 with the first T20 match. The action will continue on August 20 with the second match, and the series will culminate with the third and final match on August 23. All of these thrilling encounters will take place at the picturesque venue of Malahide.
It’s worth noting that India and Ireland clashed in a T20 series last year, comprising two matches. In that series, India emerged victorious, sweeping the series with a 2-0 win.
Under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, the Indian team showcased their dominance by securing a convincing 7-wicket victory in the first match. They carried forward their momentum to the second match, triumphing with a narrow 4-run win.

India Men Returns to Ireland
“We’re delighted to welcome India Men back to Ireland for the second time in 12 months,” Warren Deutrom, Chief Executive of Cricket Ireland said in a statement on Tuesday (June 27).
“We saw two sold-out matches in 2022, so to have a three-match series this year should give even more fans the opportunity to enjoy what is always a memorable occasion,” he added.
Samson, Hooda performed against Ireland previously
Sanju Samson and Deepak Hooda were included in the Indian team for the 2022 series. Hooda emerged as the top run-scorer in the two-match series, amassing a total of 151 runs. On the other hand, Sanju Samson occupied the number three spot in the batting lineup.
Samson scored 77 runs in a single match. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal were part of the team as bowlers. Bhuvneshwar claimed two wickets in the two matches, while Chahal took one wicket in a single match.
India to tour West Indies
Following a well-deserved month-long break, the Indian cricket team is set to embark on an extensive tour of the West Indies, starting on July 12. This tour will feature 2 Test matches, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20Is. The Indian team’s exciting journey in the West Indies will draw to a close on August 13. After than, the Indian squad will make their way to Ireland.
Considering the crucial need for managing players’ workloads in preparation for the upcoming ODI World Cup in 2023, it is expected that some key Indian players may be given a well-deserved rest for the tour of Ireland.
