This T20 franchise league is one of the most reputable and prestigious T20 leagues in the world and had received the List A Status from the International Cricket Council (ICC). It is the flagship event of the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) and attracts the top talents and heavyweight players from the across the globe.
Gulf Giants are the defending champions of this tournament and had defeated Desert Vipers in the finals of the inaugural edition of this tournament. Carlos Brathwaite from West Indies was the player of the finals as he bagged 3 wickets in 4 overs.
Chris Lynn hogged the limelight for his magnificent knock of 72* runs in the finals as he had smoked out the bowlers of the opposition.
