The Rajasthan Royals had a standout season in the 15th Indian Premier League in 2022. They played with the intent from the very first game and, with nine victories in 14 games, placed second at the end of the group stage.

Rajasthan Royals defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore in the second qualifier to get to the Final, but they were unable to make history as they fell to Gujarat Titans in the championship game.

In the IPL 2022 season, Rajasthan was headed by Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal, who won the Orange Cap and Purple Cap, respectively. At the mega auction in 2022, the thought tank did a decent job of putting together a solid squad, and it was evidently successful.

James Neesham, Daryl Mitchell, Rassie van der Dussen, Corbin Bosch, and Nathan Coulter-Nile are the five foreign players that Rajasthan has released. The other releases include songs by Anunay Singh, Karun Nair, Shubham Garhwal, and Tejas Baroka.

After retention, Samson’s men will still have 13.2 crore INR in their pockets. Four overseas can be filled by Rajasthan at the player auction. Know the 3 players who might be the target of Rajasthan Royals at the IPL 2023 auction.

Ben Stokes

Stokes, along with his English partner Jos Buttler, was a vital member of the RR. In the 2021 season, Ben Stokes was a player for the Rajasthan Royals. He was ruled out from the tournament after one game due to a finger injury he sustained during the game.

The left-handed batsman scored 285 runs in 8 games for a 40.71 average, 1 century, and 1 half-century in the 2020 season. Ben Stokes spent his final season with the Rajasthan Royals, thus the team would do all in its power to acquire him during the auction.

Dwayne Bravo

The Rajasthan Royals (RR) will have 13.20 crore to spend at the IPL 2023 Auction. Looking at the current RR squad, an all-around player is needed to help balance the team.

It seems unlikely that they would sign one of the big all-rounders given their tighter budgets. The best course of action will be to make wise financial decisions, and Bravo offers them a choice in that regard.

Bravo’s skill as a death bowler also enables the Royals, should they choose to sign the former, to use Trent Boult in the powerplay. It shouldn’t be shocking if RR decides to add him to their setup because he might be available for a low cost.

Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey was catapulted into the spotlight with the help of one outstanding inning. Manish Pandey, a flashy top-order right-hand batsman, hit an unbroken 114 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2009 against the now-defunct Deccan Chargers. He became the IPL’s first 100-point scorer from an Indian nation.

Manish Pandey, 33, had a miserable season with the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022, scoring only 88 runs in six games with an average of 14.67. As he was released, Rajasthan Royals might be ready to sign him in IPL 2023.
