IPL 2023 Opening Ceremony

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 opening ceremony will be back after a four-year absence.

There will be an opening ceremony on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad before the first game between the Chennai Super Kings and the reigning champion Gujarat Titans, with less than a week till the start of the IPL 2023.

Rashmika Mandana and Tamanna Bhatia, two actresses, are likely to perform on the IPL 2023 opening night, which is undoubtedly exciting for the crowd.

On March 31, the opening ceremony will take held at Ahmedabad’s renowned Narendra Modi stadium.

Prior to the season’s first game between GT and CSK on March 31, the event will start at about 7:30 PM IST.

“Yes, there will be an opening ceremony on the 31st. It will be a short one but as the home and away format returns, we felt it was necessary to welcome back the home crowd with a ceremony,” a senior BCCI official told InsideSport.

For those who are unfamiliar, Covid restrictions have resulted in the IPL’s home and away format being used for the first time since 2019.

The ten teams of the IPL will be split into two groups, unlike in previous seasons, despite the resumption of the home and away format.

Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Lucknow Super Giants will make up Group A, while Group B will consist of Chennai Super Kings, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Gujarat Titans.
