Gujarat Titans (GT) had a dream start to their Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign. In their debut season itself, the Hardik Pandya led side laid their hands on the elusive silverware, after beating Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the finals.
It was the perfect season for them. They finished right at the top in the points table after the group-stage and then won the Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan.
Hardik Pandya had a dream outing as a skipper as he not only impressed everyone with his batting and bowling skills but also his astute captaincy skills.
Gujarat Titans have made some small changes to their roster. Kane Williamson has been roped in by the franchise and they have traded Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Openers: Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha
The opening duo of Gujarat Titans looks like a no-brainer. Both Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha had stellar IPL 2022 seasons and contributed largely to the success of Gujarat.
While Gill scored 483 runs in 16 matches in IPL 2022, Saha mustered 317 runs in IPL 2022 in 11 matches.
Middle-order: Kane Williamson, Hardik Pandya, David Miller
Kane Williamson’s inclusion in the side gives Gujarat a lot of stability. The all-time great from New Zealand has previously been the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and has a lot of experience under his belt.
Skipper Hardik Pandya will be one of the vital cogs in the wheels of Gujarat Titans in this season. He had a break-through season last year and was one of the best players of the team. David Miller is known for his big strikes in the middle.
Lower-order: Rahul Tewatia, Vijay Shankar
Gujarat Titans will be bolstered with the presence of two Indian all-rounders in the form of Rahul Tewatia and Vijay Shankar. Both these players are versatile players and increase the dynamics of the team.
Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Mohammad Shami, Joshua Little, Yash Dayal
The bowling department of Gujarat Titans looks extremely lethal and potent. Rashid Khan is unarguably one of the best spinners across the globe and he can spin the web and bamboozle all the opposition batters.
Mohammad Shami bowled really well in IPL 2022 and bagged 20 wickets in 16 wickets and was the backbone of the pace bowling department of Gujarat Titans.
