Lanka Premier League 2023: Full Schedule, Squad, LPL Live Streaming In India, All You Need To Know

The highly anticipated fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League – LPL 2023 is all set to captivate cricket fans from July 30 to August 20. Spread across two venues in two cities, this thrilling tournament will witness five teams vying for the prestigious LPL 2023 title.

The five competing teams are Lyca’s Jaffna Kings, Colombo Strikers Strikers, Dambulla Aura, Galle Titans, and B-Love Kandy. They will engage in an exciting double round-robin format league phase, where every team will face each other twice. The top four teams from this league phase will progress to the LPL 2023 playoffs.

In the playoffs, the top two teams will lock horns in a gripping encounter known as Qualifier 1. The victor of this match secures a direct entry into the final, while the losing team gets another shot at the summit clash via Qualifier 2. In Qualifier 2, they will face the winner of the Eliminator.

The Eliminator, a nail-biting fixture, will feature the third and fourth-placed teams in a straight knockout match. The winning team moves one step closer to the final, while the defeated side exits the tournament.

A total of 24 thrilling matches are on the cards this season. The action-packed R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo will host 16 matches, including the LPL 2023 playoffs. The LPL 2023 will kick off with an exciting clash between Lyca’s Jaffna Kings and Colombo Strikers at this venue.

The remaining eight league stage matches will take place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele during the second week of the tournament. The defending champions, Jaffna Kings, are eager to defend their LPL title.
