The highly anticipated Lanka Premier League (LPL) is set to return for its fifth edition in 2024, promising three weeks of thrilling cricket action.
The LPL 2024 is scheduled to commence on July 1, 2024, with the final match slated for July 21, 2024. The tournament will be played across three venues – the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo and the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla.
The LPL 2024 uses a double round-robin format. A total of five teams in LPL 2024—B-Love Kandy, Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Sixers, Galle Marvels, and Jaffna Kings—will each play against every other team twice.
This results in each team playing a total of 8 matches during the LPL 2024 league stage. After these matches, the top four teams will advance to the playoffs.
