The Maharashtra Premier League will feature some top-class players and will have 6 teams, which are cities of Maharashtra. The cities are Pune, Nashik, Kolhapur, Sambhajinagar, Solapur and Ratnagiri.

1. Ruturaj Gaikwad

One of the classiest young batters of our generation, Ruturaj Gaikwad will be leading the Pune side in the Maharashtra Premier League. He has been named as their icon player and will be hoping to guide them to a title victory.

Gaikwad is one of the top performers of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and has also won the Orange Cap in IPL 2021.

2. Kedar Jadhav

Indian all-rounder Kedar Jadhav will be representing the Kolhapur team in the upcoming Maharashtra Premier League. He is a top-class all-rounder and has played 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is for India.

The 20-year-old all-rounder from Maharashtra grabbed eyeballs when he performed exceedingly well in the ICC U-19 World Cup 2022 in West Indies. India had lifted the World Cup in that edition and Rajvardhan had played a pivotal role.

He is the icon player of Sambhajinagar and will be an important player in the ranks of the team. In one ICC U-19 World Cup 2022 match against Ireland, Rajvardhan Hangargekar had smashed 3 sixes off 3 balls and that eventually got voted as the “Play of the Tournament”.

The Yash Dhull led Indian side had beaten England in the finals by 4 wickets to win their 5th U-19 World Cup title.
