The inaugural season of Major League Cricket (MLC) is scheduled to begin on July 13 and end with the final match on July 30.
A total of 19 matches will be played at two locations specifically designed for cricket: Church Street Park in Greater Raleigh and Grand Prairie Stadium in North Texas.
There are a total of 6 teams competing for the first MLC 2023 title, four out of which are associated with the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The Texas Super Kings (Chennai Super Kings), MI New York (Mumbai Indians), Los Angeles Knight Riders (Kolkata Knight Riders), and Seattle Orcas (Delhi Capitals) are the IPL franchises participating in MLC. Additionally, the Washington Freedom and San Francisco Unicorns, are also backed by Indian stakeholders.
The league’s initial matches will take place from July 13 to 18 at Grand Prairie Stadium, after which the tournament will shift to Church Street Park. The playoffs and the MLC 2023 final will return to Dallas, scheduled to be held from July 27 to 30.
