    The names of five Indian icons who were given Honorary Life Membership in the MCC honour list were announced by the MCC on Wednesday.

    MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Mithali Raj, Suresh Raina, and Jhulan Goswami, five legendary Indian cricketers, were presented with honorary life memberships of the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) on Wednesday. Several of the best cricketers have received Honorary Life Membership from MCC over the years.

    Five former players from India and England are included on this year’s list, along with others from Australia, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, and the West Indies. Know complete details on the player’s list of Honorary Life Membership of MCC.

    Among the five former England players to receive the honour are Eoin Morgan, the captain of the team that won the 2019 ODI World Cup, Jenny Gunn, Laura Marsh, and Anya Shrubsole, members of the team that won the 2017 Women’s ODI World Cup, and flamboyant batsman Kevin Pietersen, a four-time Ashes champion and 2010 ICC Men’s World T20 champion.

    Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj from ODI women’s team. MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh who was the part of 2007 ICC Men’s World T20 and the 2011 ICC Men’s World Cup winning team, and Suresh Raina, who amassed over 5,500 ODI runs over the course of a 13-year career are part of the list.

    Players from New Zealand in Honorary Life Membership of MCC

    Ross Taylor and Amy Satterthwaite, two New Zealanders, round out the list. Taylor is recognised as one of New Zealand’s finest men’s batsmen and helped them win the first ICC World Test Championship in 2021. The former played 145 One Day Internationals for New Zealand, amassing over 4,500 runs in the process.

    This year’s list includes five players who are the only representatives of their nations. Merissa Aguilleira, a distinguished wicketkeeper-batter for the West Indies, and Mashrafe Mortaza, an influential bowling all-rounder for Bangladesh, have had successful international careers.

    Mohammad Hafeez of Pakistan represented his nation almost 400 times in all three international versions of the game, most frequently playing the opening position, and Dale Steyn of South Africa is acknowledged as one of the best fast bowlers of his generation after claiming 439 Test wickets.

    Rachael Haynes, a top order batsman for Australia, won gold at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and six ICC tournaments with her nation over the course of a 13-year international career.
