At the M. Chinnaswamy stadium on Thursday, Karnataka captain Mayank Agarwal smashed a double century against Saurashtra to put his team in control of the second semifinal of the Ranji Trophy 2022–23. In just 367 balls, Mayank Agarwal completes his double century.

Mayank Agarwal engaged the formidable Saurashtra attack, which had reduced Karnataka to 112-5 on the first day, in a solitary struggle for the home team. 

Agarwal helped his team get back into a competitive position alongside Srinivas Sharath, who is presently the second-highest scorer for Karnataka in this innings with 66.

After Sharath left, the 31-year-old partnered with lower-order batsman Vidwath Kaverappa to push his team above 350 and advance himself to the milestone of a double century. Currently, Karnataka is 369/9.
