After Rishabh Pant’s accident in December 2022, the entire cricketing fraternity went into shock. The explosive wicket-keeper batter had suffered a car crash on the Delhi-Dehradun highway as he fell asleep during the drive.

He has been out of cricketing action since then and has embarked on the journey to recovery. Pant has been since making a few appearances in the Delhi Capitals (DC) matches in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

Now, in a picture uploaded by him on his Instagram story, we saw that he is at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. He has begun his rehabilitation at the NCA and is on the road to recovery.

The picture also featured a fitness trainer of NCA and Pant seems to be in good spirits after the life-threatening car accident which took place in the wee hours on 30th December 2022, while he was going to Roorkee, to meet his mother for New Year.

Pant suffered multiple injuries because of the accident and has not been able to move properly since then.

Rishabh Pant last played in the Test series versus Bangladesh

The 25-year-old wicket-keeper batter last featured in India’s squad in the 2-match Test series against Bangladesh in the neighboring country itself. India had pocketed the series 2-0. In the 1st Test match’s 1st innings, Pant scored 93 runs in 104 runs and fell short of a well-deserved century by only 7 runs.

He scored 9 and 46 in the other innings he had played in that Test series. We really hope the star wicket-keeper batter comes back into cricketing action, very soon. Rishabh Pant has already been ruled out of the World Test Championship (WTC) final, Asia Cup 2023, and the ICC ODI World Cup 2023.

In his absence, David Warner has been leading the Delhi Capitals (DC) side in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will be taking place in October-November and will be played across 12 venues of India. The Indian cricket team led by Rohit Sharma will be heavily missing the services of the swashbuckling wicket-keeper batter as he is an indispensable part of the Indian squad.
