Cricket fans all around the world have enjoyed South Africa’s franchise-based T20 league, SA20, since its debut. This can be attributed to the effort put out by players of each of the six teams, which led to exciting games featuring competitive bat-and-ball matches.
With their exceptional exploits, international powerhouses were able to make their mark on the SA20. The Pretoria Capitals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape clash in the SA20 final on Saturday (February 11) at Centurion’s Supersport Park have set the stage for the crowning of the league’s inaugural champions.

1. Jos Buttler (391 runs)
Jos Buttler of the Paarl Royals is the competition’s top run-scorer with 391 runs from 11 games at an average of 39.10 and a strike rate of 132.54. With a strike rate of 132.54 he also has four half-centuries to his credit.
2. Faf du Plessis (369 runs)
The second name on the list is Joburg Super Kings captain Faf du Plessis. The former captain of South Africa recorded 369 runs from 10 games at an average of 46.12, including a century and two half-centuries.
3. Heinrich Klaasen (363 runs)
Heinrich Klaasen of the Durban Super Giants is currently the third-highest scorer in the SA20 with 369 runs scored in 9 innings (10 matches). The right-handed batter recorded 164.25 strikeouts per game, averaged 60.50 runs, and had three fifty-single games.

SA20: Top Bowlers
1. Anrich Nortje (18 wickets)
The Pretoria Capitals’ success this season has been significantly attributed to speedster Anrich Nortje’s reliability. Nortje is almost certain to finish as the player with the most wickets in the first SA20 season after taking 18 in 10 games so far with an economy rate of 6.28.
2. Gerald Coetzee (17 wickets)
Gerald Coetzee of the Joburg Super Kings had a chance to defeat Nortje in the second semi-final, however it was not happen. From nine games, the right-arm fast bowler has taken 17 wickets for an economy rate of 7.71. For his squad, his strikeout rate of 10 has been extremely beneficial.
3. Roelof van der Merwe (16 wickets)
Sunrisers Eastern Cape acquired slow left-arm orthodox bowler Roelof van der Merwe after a few games, and he has since been their best bowler. The 38-year-old is the only bowler to bring up a 5-fer this season and has taken 16 wickets in 8 innings. Van der Merwe also maintained a 5.33 economy, which is quite good.
