Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) purchased English cricketer Harry Brook at the Indian Premier League 2023 Mini Auction for Rs 13.25 crore (IPL 2023 Mini Auction). He won’t participate in South Africa’s T20 League (SA20).
His application for workload management has been withdrawn by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). He was a member of the league’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK), also known as the Johannesburg Super Kings. On December 28, 2022, the ECB informed the league’s administrators and the team.
Brook has been in the England squad since their July 2022 home series against India. The three-match ODI series between South Africa and England, which is planned in the middle of SA20, may include the young English hitter. As per the media report, between January 10 and February 11, the series will take place.
“Since he plays all three formats, the ECB thinks it is too risky to permit him to play the SA20. We received the communication from the ECB last night. We will have to look for a replacement,” CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan revealed according to Cricbuzz.
