The 2023 cricket season for the men’s national team of Spain will begin with a 6-match T20I series against the Isle of Man. The Men’s National Team of the Isle of Man (IOM) will be hosted by Cricket Espana (CE) from February 24 to February 26, 2023, for a bilateral T20I series consisting of six (6) matches at the La Manga cricket field.
Christian Munoz-Mills is likely to lead Spain, whereas, Matt Ansell will be the captain of the Isle Of Man. The matches have a lot bigger stake for Spain in terms of the Team standings in the ICC T20Is rankings, and the series will be the first of many bilateral or multi-country games that will take place during the European summer.
The men’s teams from Spain and the Isle of Man will both be playing their first international matches following their last assignment, which came during the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Europe Qualifier Group A, where they finished second to Italy and were unable to advance to the Regional Finals this year in July in Scotland.
