One of the most talented cricketers of Pakistan, Shadab Khan has been roped in by Sussex for the upcoming T20 Vitality Blast 2023. The Pakistani all-rounder has over the years stamped his authority as one of the best players in business and is the backbone of the Pakistani team.
Sussex Sharks has signed Shadab Khan for the entire T20 Vitality Blast season. They will be benefitted by his presence as he is also the vice-captain of the Pakistan T20I cricket team. Having made 84 T20I appearances for Pakistan, the all-rounder has bagged 98 wickets and can conjure magic with the white cherry.
Sussex’s bowling coach James Kirtley heaped praise on Shadab Khan and said his team would benefit largely from his towering presence.
“Shadab will provide an amazing experience in our middle order, he is someone who has played all around the world and has experienced many situations, which can only benefit our team,” said James Kirtley.
“He really does provide flexibility to our side as he can score runs and take wickets in crucial moments, but more than anything else he is an experienced head that Ravi can go to as captain to look for support when making crucial in-game decisions. I know that he will have a massive impact on our team this year,” the Sussex bowling coach said.
The 24-year-old all-rounder has already carved a niche for himself in T20 cricket and is also a decent batter along-with his bowling process. At a very young age, Shadab Khan has truckloads of experience under his belt. He also has played 6 Test matches and 53 ODI matches for the Pakistan cricket team.

If we take a look at Shadab Khan’s domestic record, then we marvel at his incredible numbers. He has played 225 domestic T20 games and has mustered 2088 runs. This speaks volumes of his batting abilities as well.
Shadab Khan has also plied his trade for franchises across the globe such as Sydney Sixers, Yorkshire, Dhaka Platoon, Trinbago Knight Riders, Brisbane Heat, Guyana Amazon Warriors, and Islamabad United.
He is the skipper of the Islamabad United team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). PSL is the premier T20 franchise tournament of Pakistan and is widely regarded as one of the most popular T20 leagues in the world after the Indian Premier League (IPL). The PSL had its inception in the year 2015 and revolutionized the landscape of cricket in Pakistan.
