Anoop Srivastava, the founder and director of the Jaipur Wax Musuem, has revealed that there was a lot of craze for Virat and a lot of demands for his statue to be erected.
“Now that Virat has also become a sports icon for children and youth, what could be a better occasion than now when he has reached the highest level in world cricket, to install his wax statue. So, we also decided after batting great Sachin Tendulkar and former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, a wax figure would be created for Virat,” said Srivastava.
The statue is designed by Bollywood designer Bodh Singh and represents Kohli’s unwavering commitment, grit and determination.
Presently, there are 44 wax statues at the Jaipur Wax Musuem and some of the iconic personalities who have their statues here are Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Jackie Chan, Mahatma Gandhi, amongst several other notable stars.
