We all have been extremely presumptuous about Cheteshwar Pujara. A batsman of skill and substance, Pujara is always known to be a Test player. His batting exploits in the Test format needs no introduction at all. His defensive approach has given him the tag of a “Test specialist”. However, time and again Pujara has proven everybody wrong with his fiery knocks in the T20 format. In 2019 in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (India’s T20 domestic tournament) Pujara had scored a 61-ball unbeaten 100. He was playing for Saurashtra against Railways.
Now leading the side for Sussex, Cheteshwar Pujara put on a magnificent display of slam-bang cricket as he smashed 22 runs off Liam Norwell in a single over. Pujara blasted his way to a superb knock of 107 (79). His knock was laced with 7 fours and 2 sixes.

The 44th over of the run-chase witnessed some fireworks from the blade of Pujara. The 34-year-old cricketer from Rajkot smashed 3 fours, 1 six and 2 two-s.
In-spite of this jaw-dropping innings, Sussex fell short by 4 runs at the hands of Warwickshire. Sussex presently sit at the 6th position in Group A of the Royal London One-Day Cup 2022. They have 2 wins and 2 losses from 4 games.
