Ishan Kishan demonstrated his skill with the gloves by grabbing one of the best catches in recent memory in the first T20I of the three-match series against Sri Lanka on Tuesday at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium after an outstanding inning with the bat gave India an early start.
In order to pull off a blinder and prevent a collision with fine-leg fielder Harshal Patel, Kishan had to run far away. Due to the youngster’s outstanding effort, Sri Lanka lost their third wicket of the day when Charith Asalanka was dismissed for a score of 12 in 15 balls by Umran Malik, who then claimed his first-ever international wicket on home soil.
Hardik Pandya’s reaction to being stunned by Kishan’s effort went viral. Ishan Kishan looked positive with his knock of 37 runs in 29 balls. Skipper Hardik Pandya too got into the scheme of runs with 29 runs.
