The New Zealand Women’s Super Smash 2024-25 is set to kick off on December 26, 2024, marking the eighth edition of this exciting T20 league. This year, six teams will compete in a tournament that promises thrilling cricket action and showcases the talent of women cricketers in New Zealand.
The competition will run parallel to the men’s league, allowing fans to enjoy back-to-back matches featuring some of the best female cricketers in the country. The opening match will feature Northern Brave taking on Auckland Hearts at Seddon Park, Hamilton.
Each team will play a total of 10 matches during the league stage, facing the other five teams twice. This format ensures a competitive environment, with a total of 30 league-stage matches scheduled.
Following the league phase, the tournament will culminate in two knockout matches: an eliminator and the final, which will determine the new champions of the Women’s Super Smash.
