The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the revised schedule for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will now take place in the UAE from October 3 to 20, 2024.
This change comes after the tournament was initially set to be hosted in Bangladesh, but due to ongoing political unrest and travel advisories, the ICC decided to relocate the event to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
The tournament will kick off with Bangladesh facing Scotland in the opening match on October 3, followed by Pakistan taking on Sri Lanka later that day.
One of the most anticipated fixtures will be the clash between India and Pakistan, scheduled for October 6, 2024, in Dubai.
All the matches of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium. A total of 10 teams will compete in a total of 23 matches throughout the tournament.
