Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) women are the defending champions of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) and would once again be strong contenders to lift the title. The WPL is all set to sweep the entire nation with the cricketing fever and fervour and it promises to be an absolute crackerjack of a contest.
On the back of solid performances from Ellyse Perry, Smriti Mandhana and Shreyanka Patil, RCB registered a fantastic victory in the previous edition of this tournament. They had defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) women in the finals on 17th March 2024.
RCB’s bowlers stepped up on the big occasion and humbled Delhi Capitals to just 113 runs on the board. While Shreyanka Patil bagged 4 wickets, Sophie Molineux took 3 wickets and paved the way for RCB’s victory.
Shafali Varma and Meg Lanning performed well with the willow and helped RCB win their maiden title.

She performed well in the previous edition with the bat and mustered 300 runs at a healthy strike-rate of 133.93. Mandhana had finished as the second-highest run-getter of RCB women.
2. Shreyanka Patil
With the white-cherry, Smriti Mandhana spun a web and bamboozled the opposition batters with comfortable ease in WPL 2025. With 13 wickets in her kitty, Shreyanka Patil topped the bowling charts of the entire tournament.
Her top-notch bowling in the grand finale of WPL 2024, where she bagged 4 wickets, was testament to her resilience and determination. She showed the entire world that she can perform under high pressure.
3. Ellyse Perry
Any discussion of RCB women remains incomplete without the mention of talismanic Ozzie all-rounder, Ellyse Perry. The superstar of world cricket, Ellyse Perry forms the backbone of the RCB women team in WPL.
Perry scored 347 runs in WPL 2024 and finished as the highest run-getter of the entire tournament. She is a quality all-rounder and bagged 7 wickets in the tournament as well. Her all-round prowess always puts RCB women ahead in the pecking order at the start of WPL.
