The Women’s Premier League (WPL) is back for its third season in 2025, promising another exciting tournament featuring the top women cricketers.
The season kicks off on Friday, February 14, with a match between the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and the Gujarat Giants.
WPL 2025 will follow a round-robin format, with each team playing the other twice. This is followed by knockout matches.
A total of 22 matches will be played across the tournament, with 20 matches in the group stage and two knockout matches.
The team that finishes at the top of the table after the round-robin stage will directly qualify for the final.
The second and third-placed teams will then compete in an eliminator match to determine the second finalist.
If the knockout matches are abandoned, the team that finished higher on the points table will advance.
