AUS vs IND Dream11 Team Prediction | India Tour Of Australia | 3rd Test | 7 Jan 2021

India will face off against the hosts Australia in the 3rd Test of the series on Thursday. The game at the Sydney Cricket Ground comes with the four-match series tied 1-1, making it a must-win for both teams. While India will be looking to carry their winning momentum into this competition, Australia will be looking to bounce back and find the right combination and mindset, something that had helped them to win the series opener.

While there are a few injury concerns for India, the team will be boosted by the return of the stand-in vice-captain Rohit Sharma who has recovered from his injury and has joined the team. On the other hand, Australia will be eager to witness the comeback of David Warner who has recovered from the groin injury.

The playing XI selection will be a tough decision for both the teams and they have made a few changes to the team squad. India will be missing out on KL Rahul as well. The opener has been ruled out of the series due to a wrist injury. Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Shami were replaced by Shardul Thakur and T Natarajan in the squad.

Talking about India’s performance at the SCG, the team has won only once in Sydney, and that was in 1978 but since then, they have never won at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Let’s have a look at Dream11 Team Prediction for the 3rd Test between India and Australia.

IND vs AUS Dream11 Team News:

India:

India has announced the playing XI for the match and as expected, Mayank Agarwal has been dropped for Rohit Sharma. The latter has been named as the vice-captain for the game. Rohit Sharma will be playing his first Test match in over a year and is just back from the hamstring injury which makes it interesting to see how he goes here.

Navdeep Saini will be making his debut here ahead of Shardul Thakur and T Natarajan. Saini can hit the deck hard and can trouble the batsmen with his pace. Having said that, India will be going in with one of the most inexperienced pace line-ups. Apart from Saini and Bumrah, the team has included Siraj here.

Australia:

Australia has dropped under-performing Joe Burns and Travis Head for David Warner and Will Pucovski. The youngster Will Pucovski is likely to open the innings alongside David Warner and this means Matthew Wade will be batting in the middle-order once again, just ahead of his captain Tim Paine. The inclusion of David Warner is a big boost for the team considering the form of Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne. However, Warner isn’t 100 percent yet which again might be a concern for the team. Well, one might hope that Will Pucovski makes justice to the expectations.

AUS vs IND Dream11 Team Prediction: Who will win the match

While India will be looking to continue their winning momentum here, their poor record at SCG is still a concern. Also, the team’s inexperienced pace line-up can backfire for the team. The team will be hoping that Ashwin and Bumrah could take up more responsibility here. For Australia, David Warner will be the key player with the bat and Nathan Lyon will be the player to watch out for here. Nevertheless, the hosts will begin this contest as favorites as per our Dream11 Team Prediction experts.
