The biggest testament to the effect that Battlegrounds Mobile India, or BGMI, has had on the Indian gaming community lies in how months after the ban, players are still waiting for the return of BGMI. Players of BGMI are still able to play the game since the servers are still active. However, players are irked by not being able to update the game or receive any new features. The RP missions which are the driving force for any BGMI gamer, are absent. This is a huge blow to the game. Until BGMI returns to the App Store and Play Store, the game will not be introducing any new features. This removes the fresh element of the game.
Players have thus been eagerly waiting for the unban of BGMI. Many hoped that BGMI would be back by the end of December 2022. However, with the year coming to a close, it seems rather unlikely that the game will make a comeback until 2023.
When will BGMI return?
Several gaming influencers and streamers have stated that they are not in the loop about when the game will make a return. However, most of them anticipate that it will occur in early 2023. On the other hand, negative indications are also on the rise. Gaming organizations like Skylightz Gaming shutting down their BGMI operations in India.
Krafton, the developers of BGMI have reiterated time and again that they are putting in all efforts possible to negotiate with the government and bring BGMI back to the Indian market. Some in the gaming community are of the opinion that the game will be released in a completely new version with new publishers. This also seems highly probable. This is because it would put an end to the security concerns that are cited by the Indian government.
BGMI Unban Date
Although no date has been announced officially for the return of BGMI, we can expect that it will return either by January or February 2023.
