The inaugural episode of Gamers Unplugged featured Naman “MortaL” Mathur, former BGMI pro player for S8UL Esports and content creator. They discussed his gaming and esports journey and provided several insights. The second edition of Gamers Unplugged was released by Dynamo on 21 November. Tanmay “Sc0utOP” Singh, another prominent battleground Mobile India (BGMI) pro player and content creator, joins in the second episode. In this episode, they discussed Sc0ut’s gaming and esports career until now. Sc0utOP also commented on Valorant’s potential in India.
Sc0utOP on Harbor launch event
Dynamo asked Sc0utOP about his experience at Riot Games’ recent Harbor Debut event. This event was for the launch of Valorant’s latest Indian agent Harbor. Sc0utOP said, “It was a LAN event for me after a long time, and I like LAN events a lot. We played at the event and won it. The experience was great. I had a flashback to when I used to play Counter-Strike in cafés. It was just like I was playing it on a big stage.”
Sc0utOP then stated that he was startled to see such a large launch event just for a game’s character. He said, “The experience was quite unique. It was the first time I saw such a huge event just for the launch of a game’s character, let alone the game. I never saw such a thing in my life. It was an insane step. It was a ceremony for the launch of an Indian character, insane.”
Sc0utOP on Valorant in India
Sc0utOP also discussed Valorant’s future in India. This discussion came up particularly since Riot Games added Harbor to the game. He stated that such additions of Indian agents to the game are fantastic. He also felt that if such events and competitions occur more frequently, the public would enjoy and promote the game more. He is of the opinion that the audience will also attempt to participate in the game. This in turn will lead to them striving to establish a career in the game.
Two of the biggest names in the Indian gaming world have already appeared in the first two episodes of Gamers Unplugged. It will be interesting to see which notable gamers will come in the upcoming episodes.
