Bayern Munich is always eager to upgrade its squad with better players. The Bavarian club already holds service of the world’s best striker Robert Lewandowski who is also a top contender of Ballon d’Or 2021 alongside Messi. Messi’s arrival will make Bayern’s attack pervious against any defense in the world under young gaffer Julian Nagelsmann.
Apart from this both the club and player have mutual respect towards each other. Lionel Messi broke the Bayern legend Gerd Muller’s record of scoring most goals in a calendar year in 2012. Messi later gifted his t-shirt to Muller and then Muller handed over that t-shirt to the club. Bayern decided to keep that jersey in the club museum which is also the only non-Bayern-related piece in the entire club.
