Cristiano Ronaldo made a move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr in January 2023 and abruptly ended his contract at Manchester United due to differences with the manager, Erik Ten Hag.

Ronaldo has 5 UEFA Champions League titles under his belt, which he won in 2008, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the brightest stars in the UEFA Champions League constellation. “Over more than two decades, he has continuously evolved and refined his game while preserving a youthful passion for scoring and celebrating goals. His professionalism, work ethic, dedication, and ability to shine on the grandest stage are qualities that football players everywhere should aspire to emulate,” the UEFA President added.

UEFA also released a statement stating the felicitation programme at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.
