Asia’s oldest football tournament, Durand Cup, is all set to witness fireworks in the 4th Quarter-Final. The Quarter-Final fixtures of the Durand Cup 2025 were announced and East Bengal FC will be crossing swords with Mohun Bagan Super Giants on 17th August 2025 at the iconic Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata.
The Quarter-Finals are set to commence from 16th August 2025 with Shillong Lajong FC taking on Indian Navy. It will be followed by a fiery clash between Bodoland FC and NorthEast United FC.
Jamshedpur FC will be then locking horns with Diamond Harbour FC at the J.R.D. Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on 17th August 2025. The two Kolkata giants will then face off with each other on 17th August 2025 in Kolkata from 7:00 PM (IST).
Both the sides were clinical in the group-stage round and had topped their respective groups. While East Bengal won 3 out of 3 in Group A, Mohun Bagan followed suit and finished in the pole position in Group B.
Mohun Bagan’s dominant victory over Diamond Harbour on 9th August 2025 was a testament to their domineering presence in the Indian football circuit. The scoreline read 5-1 against Kibu Vicuna’s side and the goals were scored by Anirudh Thapa, Jamie Maclaren, Liston Colaco, Sahal Abdul Samad and Jason Cummings.
Earlier, the Mariners had steamrolled past BSF FC 4-0 and that scoreline felt like poetry after the final whistle.
East Bengal FC are in stupendous form
Hamid Ahadad has netted 2 goals in the ongoing Durand Cup 2025 and he will be a key player to watch out for in this game. Saul Crespo too has notched up 2 goals and the Red and Gold Brigade would be looking to bank on their skillsets in the high-octane quarter-final.
Debjit Majumder and Prabhsukhan Gill have registered 1 clean sheet each but it’s the latter who might be getting the nod in the quarter-finals.
