Famous Hollywood star Morgan Freeman and K-pop band BTS member Jung Kook set the stage on fire with their remarkable performances. Morgan Freeman was the narrator initially of the World Cup Opening Ceremony. And he gave a yellow-gloved hand to a disabled FIFA Ambassador to promote inclusion.
This comes after Qatar was facing several problems off the field on humanitarian grounds. The tournament’s new anthem ‘Dreamers’ was then performed by Jung Kook along with Fahad Al-Kubaisi, who is a singer from Qatar.
Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani then urged people all around the globe to keep aside all their differences and to come united and support the World Cup in Qatar.
According to a few reports, a whopping $220 billion has been spent since 2010 in preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
Over 60,000 people attended the World Cup Opening Ceremony as they witnessed some superstars grab the limelight. The mascot of the FIFA World Cup 2022 was also revealed. And his name is ‘La’eeb’ which translates to super-skilled player.

However, the Qatar football team could not save itself from the blush as it lost 0-3 to the Ecuador football team, right after the World Cup Opening Ceremony.
